I'm pregnant with my second and am really struggling to come up with names. DH and I are Welsh but live in England. Don't mind if the next name is Welsh or English just don't want it to be common.

Mabli is pronounced Mab Lee.

Not finding out the sex

TIA

Aneurin (Nye) for a boy, Angharad for a girl( not 100% sure I've got the spellings correct).

Hairyfairy01 · 29/01/2023 00:18

If you live in England it has to be mabon surely?

goinggoinggonee · 29/01/2023 10:43

@Hairyfairy01 I don't get it.@determinedtomakethiswork Hm it dosent though

Thank you so much for the helpful suggestions, some really lovely names here.

It sounds like Mowgli though.

Except it doesn’t in the slightest 🙄
Why comment just to be rude and dismissive of another culture?

MerryChristmasToYou · 29/01/2023 12:29

@determinedtomakethiswork, It does in that both are M-li, but using that argument you could say that Marley or Molly sound like Mowgli too.

Given that OP already has a DD called Mabli, your post is rude.

It's a Welsh language children book. A bit like Topsy and Tim.

I didn't know about the book I'll have a look thank you

I love Griff I've not heard of Gruff! Also love Idris but was wondering if people would assume it's after Elba. Love Nel, have never seen that spelling but it's sweet.

I love Mablis name so much, even if it is abit marmite! so I'm really struggling to find one that's as special to me
