What are your thoughts

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
annlee3817 · 26/01/2023 21:57

I heard it for the first time recently and really liked it for a boy

RudsyFarmer · 26/01/2023 21:59

My experience is hell no.

ARoughRide · 26/01/2023 22:00

It was popular in this area for a time, although most are almost high school age now.

Ihatethenewlook · 26/01/2023 22:01

Not something I’d pick, but not a bad name at all. Not common but not daft. Better than most of the boys names that seem to be popular on mn at the moment.

Bananalanacake · 26/01/2023 22:01

Jensen is a common surname in Denmark.

xprincessxjanetx · 26/01/2023 22:03

I'm not keen

DestinysGrandchild · 26/01/2023 22:04

My thought are it's a no from me.

PatriciaHolm · 26/01/2023 22:06

Jenson Button is, I would imagine, responsible for the naming of a slew of children who would be about 11-12 now....

Krakenes · 26/01/2023 22:18

What are your thoughts OP? I’m not really sure why you’re asking? It’s just a name someone has called their child, it’s not rude or offensive.

Neither is my sons name. But when I enquired about it on mn I had 6 pages of people telling me how shit it is. It’s an old English name, been around before and officially registered since the 1800’s. Was in the top 100 in 2012 I think.
Op mn really doesn’t represent real life when it comes to baby names. Jensons fine

Bubblemachiene · 27/01/2023 06:34

Because I'm pregnant but not going to choose a name until I know what I'm having. Still early days. Just thought I'd ask, as I'd never heared it before until recently. I kinda like it. Wanted unbiased opinions. @Krakenes

Jensen with two es is also the name of a classic sports car, beautiful looking cars.

DrMarciaFieldstone · 27/01/2023 06:36

It’s kind of a Jayden/Cayden/Brayden sibling name round here

Gymtok · 27/01/2023 06:39

It's the name of the bully at DS' school so definite no from me.
Its quite often seen as a 'naughty boys' name too.

JanusTheFirst · 27/01/2023 06:43

Awful. Teachers will judge you it's a naughty boy name.

KirstenBlest · 27/01/2023 09:26

I was going to say that but you usually get jumped on here for saying that!

Pinkdafodils · 27/01/2023 14:38

Yes. It's a bit chavvy where I am...

I also don't dare say this but have to agree.

AmandaMirandaPanda · 27/01/2023 14:45

If I met a little Jenson or Jensen, I'd assume it was a family surname being used as a first name - for example, perhaps it was the baby's mother's maiden surname and she changed her name at marriage, or perhaps it's the surname of one of the baby's grandmothers.

elevenplusdilemma · 27/01/2023 14:52

It was quite a common name for little boys in my DC's baby groups / toddler groups / nursery, although I don't hear it so much now (or indeed since they started at school) so not sure where all the little Jensons disappeared to. DC is 12.

Greeneyegirl · 27/01/2023 16:45

Its quite popular round here (south east) and not chavvy. 2 i know well were born in 2020. One has a sibling called Ethan and one a sibling called Evie so gives you an idea of the vibe

Bubblemachiene · 27/01/2023 20:56

@Greeneyegirl I have an ethan myself ☺️

I quite like it! Not a name I thought of but I think it's nice now I've heard it :)
