Sienna or Maeve?

I really like Maeve - I imagine a sensitive, clever girl who loves reading and animals. Has a quirky dress sense, probably horse rides

I'm not a fan of Sienna - I picture her to be a bit two faced and too concerns about appearances. She'd ask out the boy she knows you like behind you back and act like she's done nothing wrong

Maeve really makes me think of Mavis. I would go for Sienna.

(Lighthearted, btw - I know how hard it can be! Maybe try one thread will of the different names and people can put them in order rather than each thread choosing between two names, might help get a better idea?!)

Maeve definitely. All the siennas I’ve known of have been terrible

Sienna - it seems more glam and sophisticated and sunny . Maeve is very dreary. Sienna isn’t a favourite name by a long way, but I prefer it to Maeve.

I think Maeve is absolutely beautiful.

Maeve. Sienna not really on my like list.

I know 2 Siennas - it seems slightly try hard to me. When I think of Maeve I think of the Netflix show Sex Education - that character is very clever which is appealing. It’s altogether a more appealing name.

Maeve is a kick-ass warrior queen who shags all round her and starts battles about cattle or if anyone gives her the hairy eyeball, and only takes as husbands men who aren’t weak, mean or jealous (because of the omni-shagging). Sienna is sort of mimsy in comparison.

Maeve. I don’t really associate the name with anything, I suppose I would think Maeve Binchy if anything.

I like both names but Sienna is so overused at the moment. It also makes me think of the actress primarily (not a bad thing, I think she’s great) ahead of the place or the pigment.

I know a Maeve and kept getting the pronunciation wrong (not British) so my husband told me, "think of Dave".... stuck with me!

Maeve! It's a cool girl name to me (maybe because I know a very cool Maeve who makes her own clothes and takes no shit from anyone) and I much prefer the way it sounds.

Sienna makes me think of blonde private school girls (no judgement on either blondes or people who went to private school, haha, just that that's my immediate mental image). It's a nice enough name but not my style.

Really dislike Sienna. Don’t know why as it’s perfectly nice I suppose. Just gives me Made in Chelsea vibes.
