Love Heidi

Yesthatismychildsigh · 22/01/2023 16:18

Like Maeve and Heidi a lot. Hate Sienna.

KirstenBlest · 22/01/2023 16:56

Out of the three, I only like Heidi.

LaLuz7 · 22/01/2023 17:06

I like Sienna best.

mynewname25 · 22/01/2023 17:24

How do you pronounce Maeve?

Mayve?
Meeve?

some other way?

If its pronounced Meeve i like that best followed by Sienna and then Heidi

17caterpillars1mouse · 22/01/2023 17:26

My first choice would be Heidi
Then Maeve
I really dislike Sienna

Indecisivemamabear · 22/01/2023 18:10

Thanks, to those who disliked Sienna can I ask why please?

Worried Maeve seems a bit “short”?

What does name Heidi make you think of? Thanks

I think it was popular a few years ago so it might be slightly out of step now. I don't know if that bothers you? A but like being born in the 70s and being named Margaret.

Worried Maeve seems a bit “short”?

I don't think so. I've only met 2 and both were absolutely lovely.

What does name Heidi make you think of?

Astrid, Freya and Tuva.

Indecisivemamabear · 22/01/2023 19:45

It’s pronounced Mayve, it’s Irish

Thanks, that doesn’t bother me really. It’s still more popular than I’d like but I do love the name.

I think with Maeve being one syllable it seems short to me but it is elongated ending so isn’t as sharp as another one syllable name like Tess or Ann or something.

Do you think Heidi sounds fresh and modern or old fashioned?

Sandysandwich · 22/01/2023 19:51

I like Maeve and Sienna

Heidi is always the girl in the alps making friends with goats to me

Consufed · 22/01/2023 21:00

I like Maeve best. Sienna is quite nice, if a bit wispy.

VanillaLife · 22/01/2023 21:38

Heidi I love.
Sienna I’m on the fence with.
Maeve I really hate

VanillaLife · 22/01/2023 21:40

And to answer your question Heidi sounds fresh to me. It’s not a name you hear these days, but not in an old-fashioned dated way, I really like it.

Mumofgirls2017 · 22/01/2023 21:57

Maeve- like
Heidi- like
Sienna- ok but think could date badly

Agree with this.

Pemba · 23/01/2023 03:27

I quite like Sienna.

Maeve is frumpy sounding.
Heidi is cutesy and a bit juvenile.

Trez1510 · 23/01/2023 03:32

I can't imagine an adult Heidi.

I’m going to get slated for this, but I dislike sienna as I don’t think it sounds nice and it seems a bit common. Heidi, as pp said before, is very fresh sounding. Lovely. Maeve is gentler, though the lovely Maeve I knew in my teens was nicknamed Maeve the rave.

KirstenBlest · 23/01/2023 08:53

@Trez1510 , the first Heidi I met was an adult. Same goes for Poppy.

Rickandmortified100 · 23/01/2023 08:54

Love Maeve
