I posted earlier about the name Lyle, and got some mixed opinions so have gone back to the drawing board and made a list of names we both like. Our son is named Adam. What’s your favourite off the list?

Luke
Nathan
Emmett
Floyd
Linus
Saul

Luke works best with Adam imo - very similar style in that they are both commonplace, well known Biblical classics but which have never got super popular/trendy. Emmett is a bit surname/very US sounding to me, and Saul is pretty uncommon/ more strongly Biblical sounding so stands out more in comparison to Adam imo.

Luke Joshua and Adam Joseph sound like an obvious sibset/similar style to me! I'd probably guess an Adam to have a brother with a similarly very well known/used Biblical style name - so if not Luke, then something like Daniel, Zachary, Michael, Jacob, Samuel, Mark, Ethan etc.

Don’t be silly. You could add letters onto almost any name and come up with something daft like that.

Saul is my favourite

Linus a very close second

Luke is a classic and Adam and Luke classic combination. I’d be less likely to use it though as Lucas/Luca are becoming overused

Nathan also works well, but I’d be less inclined to use it as lots of Nathan/iel’s about
