can't decide on middle name

We've decided on Christopher as a first name if it's a boy, but are debating between Michael and Spencer for the middle name. Spencer is more original, but in a way 'Michael' sounds better, because if we went with Spencer, both his first and middle name would end in 'er'. To make matters worse, our last name also ends in 'r'.

Any thoughts?

I think Michael goes better.

It's a middle name, so don't overthink it. It's the first name and surname that matter.

If the surname is something like Moore, either.
If it's something like Parker, Michael.

Do you like Chris Surname and Kit Surname? You may never intend to shorten the name but he might when he's older

Spencer is OK, but Michael is lovely. With it as a middle name, he'll not get called Mike or Mick. Some people say Spencer almost like Spentcer, which puts me off it.

Michael, definitely.

Michael.

Obviously very personal but I always felt a middle name should have a family connection, so my 3 have grandparent' names.

If you don't feel inclined to do that, maybe there is no need for a middle name?

They very rarely get used.

Christopher Michael reminds me of the wife killer Chris Dawson
