Expecting twins boy and girl. Here is our problem…..

favourite boy name so far is Franklin and favourite girl name is Francesca nn Frankie

obviously would never call DC Franklin and Francesca as too similar however which do you prefer?

willing to budge on one so I can use the other. Is Francesca more classic?

Francesca sounds fresh and strong. I love it!

I'd give up Franklin, as it sounds a little dated to me.

How about

Charlie
Felix
Sebastian
Philip

Francesca is gorgeous. I’d stick with that one and look at other names for your baby boy. Congratulations by the way!! How exciting.

what about:

Francesca and Frederick (nn Frankie & Freddie)
Francesca and Christopher (Frankie & Kit)
Francesca and Zachary (Frankie & Zach)
Francesca and Oscar (Frankie & Ossie)
Francesca and Oliver (Frankie & Ollie)

Francesca

But I love Francis/Frances more.

Halburg27 · 03/12/2022 14:18

Oh ok I actually love Francis and had not thought of though as my DH suggested Franklin

You could go with Cesca/Chessie as a nn if you want both??

I love Francesca, I'd choose that over Franklin

Yika · 03/12/2022 15:58

I would choose Francesca. I find it more classic, yes.

RuthW · 03/12/2022 17:19

I like Franklin.

Francesca is a bit 90s.

pamshortsbrokenbothherlegs · 03/12/2022 17:28

Personally I don't love either but I love Francis and Frances. Sorry not helpful!

What is your second choice name for b/g? Maybe use that to help you decide? ie if boy name b sounds great with Francesca then do that. If you don't have a name b for one sex, also helpful in a way!

Kentlassie · 03/12/2022 17:39

Definitely prefer Francesca.

RambamThankyouMam · 03/12/2022 17:46

Go with Francesca and choose something else for the boy. The -lin ending is too feminine.

FayCarew · 03/12/2022 20:46

Call them both Frankie. You'll save a fortune on name labels.

Of the two, use Francesca and pick another boy name. Franklin is too closely linked to USA politics

Jemimapinotduck · 03/12/2022 21:41

Don't like Franklin at all really like Francesca and chesca as a nn

Mumofgirls2017 · 03/12/2022 22:26
