… how often does she get called Amelia? (Written I suppose as I know they sound the same in most accents)

Expecting baby number 1 and it’s a name I’ve always wanted to use, but having slight second thoughts.

And yes Mumsnet, I know there are thousands of little girls with “mealy” names at the moment 🤣

I love Emilia and know a brilliant one. She sometimes gets mixed up with another girl named Amelia. I would t let it put you off.

I do. Sometimes but not v often and not as often as I would have thought. She is 13 now

I know of one, she often gets called Emmie. Lovely name.

I have a friend with a little girl named Euphemia (Effie) which I think is a beautiful name and not dissimilar.

The one I know gets called Millie.

I don’t know any Emilia’s.

I know of a few Amelia’s and one Emelia.

I'm an Amelia and got called Emilia all the time 🙄

They get called Mimi or Millie.

The Emelia (miss)spelling would really put me off.
I've got Amelia and Emilia mixed up, so I expect i's quite common
