I like Rafferty the most.

Underhisi · 15/11/2022 10:24

Alfred and then you can have Alfie or Freddie as a nickname.

FayCarew · 15/11/2022 10:40

Not keen on any of them.
Alfred isn't too bad but not keen on Alf or Fred.
Rufus - ok but I only know 1 and he's a dachshund
Raf (Rafferty) - Dreadful
Archie - don't like it
Bertie - Albert, Bertram, Bertrand or Robert on BC?
Theodore - Dull and overused

ofwarren · 15/11/2022 10:47

I don't like any. They are all far too overused and bland.

CookPassBabtridge · 15/11/2022 10:55

Alfie is lovely!

fairycupcakes · 15/11/2022 11:13

Prefer Freddie over Archie.

Other suggestions:

Henry, Isobel & Archie
Henry, Isobel & Stanley
Henry, Isobel &

Perfect! You

Ugh sorry OP, half my message is missing!!
I’ll try to remember what my other suggestions for you were 🥴 I also said (but seems to have disappeared) that I really like Rafferty but it doesn’t really go with your other DCs names- not sure how important that may be to you but just a thought!

Henry, Isobel & Christopher
Henry, Isobel & Jack
Henry, Isobel & Charlie
Henry, Isobel & Dylan
Henry, Isobel & Zachary
Henry, Isobel & Ethan
Henry, Isobel & Dougie
Henry, Isobel & William
Henry, Isobel & Arthur
Henry, Isobel & Jonathan

MakeWayMoana · 15/11/2022 11:24

I think that your other two have lovely names but your list for number three is a bit of a naughty boys list (I know it’s judgy!)

There’s a group of boys in my son’s year made up of Alfie, Archie, Ronny, Frankie and Freddie (and a Jake) who are all right little sods… obviously doesn’t mean all kids with those names are, just that’s were my mind jumps when I hear or an Alfie etc

Barleysugar86 · 15/11/2022 11:29

I think Rufus or Rafferty with the names of the two you have already.

Although I do love Bertie. But I think he'd need to be an Albert with a nickname.

Alfie I think is overused. Freddie less so. They both read nickname to me so I wouldn't make them the Christened name.

yummymummy3441 · 15/11/2022 11:32

rafferty is terrible the child will get bullied.alfred is great for freddie and alfie

Luredbyapomegranate · 15/11/2022 12:18

Rufus is by far the best - rest are done to death or not very distinguished, which is a shame when you have the lovely Henry and Isobel. Bertie is alright as a nn for Albert, but definitely not a full name.

Rafe
Patrick
Laurence nn Laurie
Robert nn Robin / Robbie
Francis, nn Frankie if you want
Ernest
Guy
Tobias, nn Toby if you want
Nathaniel nn Nate
Christopher nn Kit
Miles
Hugh
Alistair
Nicholas nn Nico
Jonathan
Dominic
Luke
Matthew

RuthW · 15/11/2022 12:24

Are you giving them a full name too? If not choose Rafferty or Theodore to mach your other children's names

Highfivemum · 15/11/2022 12:28

I prefer Raf. I know so many Freddie’s and my friends dog is called Alfie ( though I love the name ).

Gummibär · 15/11/2022 13:59

I really dislike them all, especially Alfie and Freddie. Way too cutesy/comical.

Frederick is nice though.

Gummibär · 15/11/2022 14:01

Henry and Isobel are both lovely and classy.

How about (assuming it's a boy):

Edward
Quentin
Vincent
William

Ocampa · 15/11/2022 15:26

Alfie!

GlassDeli · 15/11/2022 16:41

I like Rufus and Rafferty best.

Felix
Toby
Jasper
Peter
Miles
Charles
Thomas
Julian
Philip
Samuel

theemmadilemma · 15/11/2022 16:45

If you go with Alfie you should defo get a tattoo...

warofthemonstertrucks · 15/11/2022 16:47

I don't mind any of them but I hate when kids don't get christened the full name and are instead actually Christened the nick name-so Freddie as opposed to Frederick. Freddie is fine on an under 18 year old, bit weird on a 30 year old in a job interview... just sounds a bit babyish...Give him the proper name and then you (and he ) can choose to shorten it and nickname it, but he can use the grown up version when he needs to in adult life.
(This is the one thing I'm a bit weirdly snobby about 😂)

Bingobangodrinkacanoftango · 15/11/2022 16:49

I work with kids…please not another Alfie or Archie 😂😳

so.many.A.names

Gummibär · 15/11/2022 19:17

They will date badly, in fact they are already starting to feel 'dated'

FourChimneys · 15/11/2022 23:21

Henry and Isobel are lovely, sensible, classic names. Alfie and Freddy are not. Very overused and a bit naff to my way of thinking.

I would use William, Matthew, James or Edgar. Or Jonathan, nn Jonty.

FourChimneys · 15/11/2022 23:22

Bingo not to mention all the Albies.

BoudiccaVibes · 15/11/2022 23:23

None... please!!
