We have Daisy & Molly and really stuck for a name for our third?
We have a boy’s name, but think we are having a girl. Really want a name before I give birth but we’re struggling!! Xx

I'd avoid a third name that is also two syllables ending in -y / -ie personally so they don't all sound too samey. (I'm thinking of Huey, Dewey and Louie if you remember them!)

I like all of emmathedilemma's suggestions Smile

ihatesoaps · 11/11/2022 10:19

Lily
Xanthe

emmathedilemma · 11/11/2022 10:25

yes, that's what I was thinking too @sevenbyseven I also thought a few of the flowery names worked e.g. Rosie and Iris but that leaves Molly being the only non-floral name. Actually, on second thoughts Violet is a flower isn't it?

savagegardener · 11/11/2022 10:30

Thea?
Another 2 syllable name like the others. Not similar sounding though.

I like lots but wouldn't go with a SME that ends in Y or I

So things like
Laura
Eliza
Eloise
Juliet
Eleanor
Tabitha

TheBirdintheCave · 11/11/2022 11:03

With Daisy and Molly being pet forms of Margaret and Mary, I'd look for another older style diminutive name to continue the set. I don't personally like nicknames used as first names but in this instance it makes sense to use another :)

Abby (Abigail)
Annie (Annabel)
Emmy (Emmeline)
Georgie (Georgiana)
Hattie (Harriet)
Hettie (Henrietta)
Izzy (Isobel)
Janet (Jane)
Josie (Josephine)
Sasha (Alexandra)

Well I've had dogs called Daisy and Mollie, so continuing that theme you could have Penny or Lucy.
