Name for DC4

Found out DC4 is a girl and we are really struggling with names. Name changed as very outing.

Our other children are Hugo, Eliza & Francis.

DH likes Matilda, I like Delilah and we both like Harriet but can’t use (dds middle name) otherwise we don’t even have a long list.

Not another Matilda. I’d stick with Harriet. It doesn’t matter that it’s dd’s middle name. I’ve met a few kids whose older sibs have their name as a middle because their parents weren’t expecting an extra child to come along, or simply because they couldn’t find a name they liked more and wished they’d ‘saved’ it, but decided to go for it anyway.

I’m really glad you said this. Harriet by far is our joint favourite and I think it goes nicely with the others names and is around the same in popularity as Hugo and Eliza (Francis is way out there in comparison!)

I think it’s probably most likely we will go for it with another ‘proper’ middle name, rather than a filler name, in case she is offended by us reusing it!

I know siblings Hugo and Martha, and Eliza and Violet. Agree with PP that if Harriet is your favourite, go for that.
