We don't know if this baby will be a boy or girl. Our first three children have classic names. Can you help?

Emily
Eliza
Elizabeth (Eliza)

Frederick (Fred)
George
Edward (Ed or Ted)

Thanks!

I’d go for Elizabeth and Edward. I wish I’d stuck with Edward for my fourth but was outvoted. He’d have been such an adorable Teddy and then could be Ted or Ed as an older boy etc.

Elizabeth (Eliza) and Edward (Ted)

Eliza and George.
Just been to nursery and they are 5 Freddie’s. Emily is nice but my friends DC called Emily gets called Ems and she hates it.

KirstenBlest · 10/11/2022 08:21

Elizabeth (can be Eliza) and Edward (prefer Ed)

Mumofgirls2017 · 10/11/2022 08:22

I like Eliza and Edward nn Ted, also like Frederick

Gummibär · 10/11/2022 08:37

They are all very popular currently. But I would choose Eliza or Edward

Eliza and Edward

Elizabeth (nn Eliza and she also then has options for other nn like - Beth, Betty, Betsy, Liz, Lizzie, Liza they are almost endless!! - as she gets older)

Love Frederick but I believe Freddie is really very popular at the moment.

I know a lovely little boy who goes by Teddy (full name is Theodore) so my vote would be for Ted/Teddy/Ed and full name Edward from your list ☺️

emmathedilemma · 10/11/2022 10:25

I love Eliza but they're all really nice names. I would maybe avoid Edward as there's a lot of Ted / Teddy / type names around at the moment.
Other suggestions:
Alice
Clara
Mary

Wilfred (Wilf or Fred)
William
Benjamin

Elizabeth and Edward.

They are all nice classic names, but very popular - these two have lots of short forms which they might appreciate

sjpkgp1 · 10/11/2022 23:41

Strange answer maybe, but have you ever traced your family tree. If you like classic names, they will be there in great score. Not so much the recent ancestry, but go back two generations and you will find some fabulous suggestions that go well with your classics. Good luck with whatever you choose x

Thank you for all the responses! Leaning towards Eliza and Edward at the moment I think.
