River but only because I know a few people that have named their dogs Arlo. Seems to be a popular pet name now

Neither....they are both 'trying too hard' names...and fairly chavvy where I live in NW

Arlo is okay.

River is not for me. I heard someone shouting “fox” repeatedly in a playgroup recently. Turned out that was the child’s name. River is in the same genre for me.

Both super common now. Arlo particularly. A year or so older than my son I knew 5!

They are both fabulous names with a strong West country accent.

Neither for me.. Arlo slightly better. I know a Fox too (not keen), he's about 6 so there are a few around!
