George and Alice are real classic names that have stood the test of time. I always think it is helpful if you want names that "sort of match" to look at similar names from the same time period. Although it doesn't matter to the child to be fair - just a bit odd if you have a George, an Alice then a "Ryan" or "Liam" or a "Wren" or "Iona" (nothing wrong with those names per se, but you get my drift). I have traced my family tree and we have plenty of Georges and Alices - from 1700 onwards. It might be worth you looking back at your or your OH tree to see if there is a family name you like. If not, just look at popular names from 1700-1900 and I bet there would be one you would like that would work.
