Linden

DP says it's girlie...I say not. It's one of his family names, and uncle, and we haven't used his family yet. He has no other suggestions yet, which is the really frustrating bit.

My choice for DS2, brother for Vincent (known as Vin/Vinnie)

Probably to be known as Den or Denny in daily use. Full name Linden George [SturdyEnglishSurname]

Depending on what he looks like of course, if it fits him.

I know a Lyndon, who is about 7 foot tall and a policeman. Deffo not girly

pageturner · 28/01/2008 16:59

I know a Linden, but she's a woman in her sixties. That's probably no help to you, is it?!

TheHonEnid · 28/01/2008 17:00

denny and vinny?

are you a poor italian family living in New Jersey?

kittywise · 28/01/2008 17:00

sounds like a surname, not my cup of tea.

Flllightattendant · 28/01/2008 17:00

Beautiful. I think it means lime tree.

Really nice esp. with middle name.

Karen999 · 28/01/2008 17:00

I know a Linden too, she is a woman in her forties...

Yaddayah · 28/01/2008 17:01

Ouch (at Enid)

branflake81 · 28/01/2008 17:01

bit chavvy, tbh.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 28/01/2008 17:01

One of my fav pubs is called The Linden Tree! So I think the name is great

kittywise · 28/01/2008 17:01

vinnie, is good. My baby's called Ronnie. These crim names are all coming back into fashion

chocolatemummy · 28/01/2008 17:02

yes very like Linda, not sure really?
Don't think I would choose it

andiemustlosehalfastonemore · 28/01/2008 17:02

are you in the sopranos?
sorry but it sounds like it not keen on the rhyming names thing

TheHonEnid · 28/01/2008 17:02

yes I saw a baby called Kray in town yesterday

lovely

DarthVader · 28/01/2008 17:04

I know several Lyndons - all are black and male. I don't think it is a girlie name.

CountessDracula · 28/01/2008 17:04

Isn't it a make of stairgate?

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/01/2008 17:04

Lyndon is a boys name, not Linden.

merryberry · 28/01/2008 17:08

laugh well yes dp would have loved the soprano thing i'd have thought. and i suppose the crim thing reminds me fondly of my black market east end family very nicely...

looked up it's stats, it is deffo a boys name, named for the tree. can't see it ever used for a girl..

mind you i'm a woman called franky, not short for anything, so the pain barrier is set high for me...
