We have a family name which I really like. Doralice pronounced "Dora - Lis". It's greek. The only issue I have is that it's spelt Dora - Lice. Like headlice. Which if any do you like the most?

  1. Doralice "Dora - Lis"
  2. Doralis "Dora - Lis"
  3. Doralise "Dora - Lis"
  4. Doralise "Dora - Le -Ce"

A quick search suggests that Doralis seems the most popular English rendering. However, you could also consider Doralys.

I really like that spelling. Do you like the name?

I wouldn't choose it, but I have no Greek heritage. If you like it, go for it. I'm sure your daughter will rock it!

Doralis is nice. Go with that.

she will almost certainly end up Dora though, or possibly something like Dorey, so you need to be happy with that

It’s an interesting name, I haven’t come across it before but if you’re wanted it pronounced Dora-Lis I would spell it Doralis or Doralise
