I would avoid three names starting with vowels.

Clementine flows slightly better then Matilda.

Ottilie Jane would be lovely.

How about a family name?

Middle names NEVER get used.

NoYouSirName · 26/10/2022 15:07

I think a one syllable middle name works best

Timetochangetheoil · 26/10/2022 15:10

I love Ottilie. We have a Matilda so when pregnant with our second I couldn’t really use it because Ottilie is too similar to ‘Tilly.’ Although like pp said middle names aren’t used that much so wouldn’t make much difference. I also had Clementine top of my list. Beautiful name.

We seem to have similar taste in names…what about Ottilie Pearl?

I came to say the same thing. Unless the surname is also one syllable in which case, don't.

Harshom

It’s so rarely said altogether that it really doesn’t matter, the only one I’d maybe avoid is Matilida since all the Ottilies and Matilidas I know all go by Tilly so too samey.

Westfacing · 26/10/2022 15:32

Rose

Neversaygoodbye · 26/10/2022 15:33

I also think Rose would go well.

Maybe a family name or a favourite flower or a heroine or character you love? Or something you love but that felt too much in the first name spot?
