One syllable definitely sounds the best with Cassius.

How about:

Cassius George
Cassius John
Cassius James
Cassius Jack
Cassius Mac
Cassius Max
Cassius Zack
Cassius Cole

Cassius has a lean and hungry look.....

Hilarymantelspencilsharpener · 26/10/2022 08:56

Cassius is a great name. It sounds good with one, two and three syllable middle names, which is unusual.

Alexander, Jacob, Joel, John, Simon, Edwin, Anthony, Felix.

Unseelie · 26/10/2022 09:04

Cassius is cool! But it can sound either ‘posh’ or ‘hippy’ depending on the rest of the name. I’d go with a traditional one syllable second name personally but it depends what your surname is, Cassius John Azinga sounds rather different to Cassius John Smith.

Cassius James
Cassius John
Cassius Blake
Cassius Earl
Cassius Tate

Jack or James

Name or surname of an ancestor is the best place to start. Children deserve a link to the past - a grounding in their heritage. It’s something solid to carry them into the future.

ElizabethinherGermanGarden · 26/10/2022 10:34

Needs to be either shorter or longer, not the same syllable pattern - disagree with PP that Cassius Julius sounds great! To me that sounds like the start of a children's poem similar to Jeremiah Obadiah etc.

Probably don't want to continue the Roman theme either or will sound like a collection of conspirators.

KirstenBlest · 26/10/2022 11:54

@TottersBlankly , Clay is pretty grounding.

I agree on the ancestor or family surname as middle name, much better than a filler middle name. Having said that, I know people who hate having their mother's maiden name as a middle name, and some who really love their terribly old fashioned middle name (think Gladys or something) cos it was their grandmother's name.

GingerFoxInAT0phat · 26/10/2022 11:57

I’ve got a Cassius, he doesn’t have a middle name. He’s 13 and never questioned it.

Cassius Jacob
Cassius Frederick

Somehow repeating the "k" sound sounds right to me. Perhaps I'm subconsciously thinking of Clay.

HermioneWeasley · 27/10/2022 08:40

I think you need something “classic” to go with Cassius - something like Alexander or Julian, not Rafe or Jude. Any family names that would work?

Leadfromtheheart · 27/10/2022 08:41

Thankyou to you all for your lovely suggestions
