Asher or Caspar?

For a middle name we'd like to avoid something generic and 'filler-y' like James or John, happy for something more unusual. So far we're considering:

Asher Rhodes/Caspar Rhodes (a place of significance for us)
Asher Emlyn/Caspar Emlyn
Asher Rowan/Caspar Rowan
Asher Solomon/Caspar Soloman
Asher Tobias/Caspar Tobias

I think Asher Rhodes sounds cool!

I like single syllable middle names as well if you have a longer surname

I really like Caspar Solomon.

I like both Asher and Caspar so I'm not much help! Both great names. Also like Rhodes, Emlyn and Rowan. Solomon is ok, but I hate Tobias.

Overall I like Caspar Rhodes best, followed by Asher Emlyn.

Asher and Caspar are both lovely names, I couldn't choose!

Rhodes: A place of significance for you, but will it be for your son? I always think it a bit awkward to saddle kids with the name of the place their parents met or whatever.

Solomon and Tobias: Unless you are particularly religious I'd avoid these two as middle names, both are in the bible, as are Asher and Caspar, so you'd be doubling up the religious names.

Emlyn and Rowan: Both lovely names!

I would probably choose Asher Rhodes because it has meaning to you but personally I like Asher Solomon best! Caspar is nice but I think Asher is just a bit nicer.
