Annie Violet or Ada Violet

I much prefer Ada Violet

Ada's great. I think Annie's dreadful

I prefer Annie, very sweet and I don’t know any. I know a few Ada’s and similar to Ava which is popular.

It is intriguing how names come round again - I had a gang of Victorian-style great aunts called Ethel, Annie, Ada, Agatha etc. and these names make me think of white hair and walking sticks!

I like Annie and Ada, but maybe adding Violet is a bit much? I'm thinking of the Lovelock sisters (Ada, Bertha and Violet) from the Thrush Green books.

Maybe one old lady name and one more timeless one?

Depends on whether you are bothered if the name is fairly popular or not. I know a LOT of Under 5s called Ada. 5 at the last count. Annie is nice. It was my great grandmother’s name so def has the grandmother vibe for me.

Annabelle Violet is much nicer, and you can use Annie as a NN.

But out of the two options I'd say Ada Violet.

It's an old lady name but it's not faddish like Ada. It's more of a classic.

Ada short for Adaline I think is really pretty, I'd love to have Ada but I have a niece called Ava
