Interested to hear people’s thoughts on two name choices …

Verity Sylvia (with a ‘S’ starting surname)
and
Serena Rose (with a ‘S’ starting surname)

Thanks in advance

Love Serena Rose. Beautiful and unusual.

Mummyof287 · 10/10/2022 21:06

Another vote for Serena Rose- lovely together and something different.
Verity sounds abit old fashioned and stern to me, but each to their own, and it's what you think that matters, so if you love it go for it!!

I like Serena, it was in my list with Sienna and Savannah when I wanted an S name. Not too unusual but not common. And Serena rose is lovely.

not a fan of verity or Sylvia tbh. I still know quite a few Sylvia’s of a certain age. It’s old fashioned but not quite enough that it could be cool yet.

TheBirdintheCave · 10/10/2022 21:10

I like Verity Sylvia :)

SalviaOfficinalis · 10/10/2022 21:10

I really like them, both on our list too, along with Sylvie.

I’d probably pick Serena Verity. I know that wasn’t an option but Rose is so commonly used as a middle name now it feels a bit like a filler middle name (although I like it as a first name actually).

Serena rose... lovely name

YourWinter · 10/10/2022 21:13

I’d prefer Selina Rose to Serena Rose (too many ‘r’s). Verity is lovely but not with Sylvia, consecutive three-syllable names are a bit much.

DramaAlpaca · 11/10/2022 01:48

Of the two, Serena Rose.

But Sylvia Rose is also nice.

I really don't like Verity, it's terribly prim.

Smallonesaremorejuicy · 11/10/2022 01:50

Sorry don’t like either . How about Rose as first name ?

Luredbyapomegranate · 12/10/2022 09:45

I love Verity and Serena, probably Verity slightly edges it for me because it’s so lively sounding

I’d avoid Rose as a middle name - it’s so so so overused

cptartapp · 12/10/2022 09:48

Serena is lovely. Not Rose.

Puddlepup · 12/10/2022 11:45

Love all of them! Serena Verity would be my pick

Yes, I'd dump Rose for that reason. I like Serena and Verity.

Spanielsarepainless · 12/10/2022 16:42

Verity Serena from me.

SquigglePigs · 12/10/2022 16:45

Honestly I think they're both lovely. Although Rose is a common middle name I think Serena Rose sounds so nice it wouldn't bother me.

Cotswoldmama · 12/10/2022 16:47

I don't like Serena, love Sylvia and Verity . I'd have Sylvia Verity.

Ladyofthelake53 · 12/10/2022 16:47

Both lovely names x
