Reeva or Serena ?

What is your favourite ? I feel reeva is a bit marmite although my husband isn’t the biggest Serena fan … our daughter is Lucia ! All opinions or ideas welcome !!!!

Reeva 100%. Lovely and unusual. Possibly some negative connotations with Oscar Pistorius, but what better way to remember that Reeva than to keep her beautiful name going.

Reeva. Although i do automatically think of Steenkamp.

Reeva is lovely, there are two Reevas in my DC year group, so it’s definitely becoming more popular.

Lucia and Seren is lovely.
I don't really like Serena, and I'm unsure about Reeva.

I do prefer Reeva but like a PP, I just hear Steenkamp on the end. Probably because I've literally never come across another one.

I quite like Serena.

On similar lines - Rivkah, Remy, Seren, Sabrina?

My DD has a Reeva in her class, I prefer it to Serena.

Reeva is awful. I do think of that poor girl who was murdered, but also just think it’s ugly, meaningless, faddy, and generally not a patch on the beautiful and distinguished Lucia.

I like Reeva more than Serena

What about Rayva/Raeva? It’s an Indian name - means ‘ravishing’ (ly beautiful 🤩)

I’d suggest Seren rather than Serena (do you don’t go too matchy with Lucia).

@oviraptor21 is the Steenkamp association a bad thing? Why should her lovely name not be given to new lives just because she was murdered by a trigger-happy abusive twat of a man? Her name doesn’t deserve to be erased.
