Cassia, Mara or Juno?

This is our girl's name shortlist, baby sister of Leo. Please can you let me know your thoughts? We know of the film "Juno" (in fact we had four songs from the soundtrack at our wedding) and this doesn't really bother us.

We also love Vada from when we had our son (my girl inspired) but since then Star Wars seems to have had a resurgence via Disney so we've agreed to forget it which is a shame.

Juno - I dislike the movie and the mythology behind it bothers me (she has an awful mythological story including throwing her own baby off a mountain). I also don't like the sound. June and Juna are much nicer. Sorry!

Cassia - this is pretty, it was suggsted to me a lot because Cassandra is on my list and I do like it but still prefer Cassandra.

Mara - there's nothing wrong with it but it sounds sort of sinister to me. There is something harsh about it. It doesn't stand out with so many Sarahs and Claras about.

Vada - it's cute but not my favourite.

They're all beautiful but I'd say Mars.

Cassia. Juno and Leo are too much together imo and I don’t like Mara. It’s quite a dull sound and the meaning isn’t nice either.

Cassia is lovely, an underused nature name.
l like Juno too, although I don’t think it sounds great next to Leo if that’s a factor for you. Mara is my least favourite, prefer Lara if any.

Mara could be misheard as Myra, which obviously has negative connotations.

As a Juno myself I'm pretty biased. It is quite the cool name 😎

(Although it does always get auto corrected to 'Junk' which can be quite irritating 😂)

Mara sounds very dull.

Mara. Juno sounds l slang for June imo! Bloody awful!

I think Cassia is gorgeous both spoken and written down.
Mara is ok but seems something short of Maria. I think Cara or Lara are better.
Juno is ok but reminds me of saying "d'you know?"

I like Juno but I don'think you can use it with Leo.
Mara is stronger than Cassia (is it "Cass-ee-ah" or "Cash-a"?)

Vada is nothing-y dash sci fi with a side serving of soviet so I’d leave that too. Nice for a Bond girl.

Wow thanks all for the replies. I did not know Mara means death, so very glad I asked thanks pp. I just googled and it also means "bitter", perhaps a no for Mara in that case!

I like Mara the best. Knew a Mora, always thought that was nice.

Cassia - sounds like a brand name to me.

Mara- as mentioned it means bitter/death ☹️

Juno - is the best of the three but doesn’t go with Leo, I don’t think!

What about Junie or Junia?
