What about the name Leesie?

OP posts:
PaperPalace · 01/10/2022 10:42

Not sure about it as a full name, but maybe as a nickname for Alessia?

WeeOrcadian · 01/10/2022 10:48

It's..... Random. Is it a shortened version of another name? Does it have cultural / family / religious ties?

DurdleSnore · 01/10/2022 12:08

I don’t like it, sorry. It’s like an unfinished ‘Khaleesi’ which is awful in itself.

ChocolateSpreadOnToast · 01/10/2022 15:08

Is it a name? Sounds like a nickname, like it’s short for something else.

Beachs · 01/10/2022 17:08

I thought it was a bad spelling of Leslie. How are you pronouncing it?

KirstenBlest · 01/10/2022 17:25

Dreadful. Sounds like Leasee. Tennant might be an alternative.

**I'm aware that the spelling is tenant, but Tennant is a known surname

GlassDeli · 01/10/2022 18:31

For a boy or girl? A nickname for Lee or Louisa?

Aquamarine1029 · 01/10/2022 18:32

It won't do a child any favours.

DisplayPurposesOnly · 01/10/2022 18:33

It doesn't sound like a name, it sounds like a nickname. Not keen

S25 · 01/10/2022 19:36

Very much sounds like a nn. If it’s the the sound of it you like how about something similar:

Alessia
Alicia
Alisha
Lisa
Lucy

SkyeBlue28 · 01/10/2022 19:37

It’s cute but sounds like a nickname for Alicia

CassTheFox · 01/10/2022 19:41

I love Lissy as a nickname for Melissa

AmandaMirandaPanda · 01/10/2022 19:43

I've come across Leesa a few times as a variant of Lisa, but Leesie's new to me.

Apart from the spelling, it could also be short for Alisa, Annelise, Elise, Felicia, Liselotte, Lisette ...

KirstenBlest · 01/10/2022 19:55

How about Liesl? Same sort of sound, and it is an actual name.
(Leezel)

Luredbyapomegranate · 01/10/2022 20:03

As a full name it’s terrible. Ok as a nursery nn for Alessia, Alicia, Alessandra, Elizabeth, Annalise etc.
