Too similar?

Currently have DS called Lorcan. Expecting DS2 in the new year and we love Caspian- is it too similar sounding with the 'uhn' ending, or are they different enough in origin/feel that it's okay? TIA!

No I don't think they sound too similar. I think both names are lovely and sound beautiful together.

Wildly different names, to me at least.

I knew a few Lorcans growing up and they had brothers called things like Fiachra. A Caspian would have been considered very exotic indeed!

I don’t think they’re too similar. Duncan and Lorcan would be too similar for me, as would Caspian and Adrian, but the -ian is a distinct enough sound from -can to my ears.

They aren't similar at all though. Both lovely names that fit well together.

Thank you all, I'm so pleased to hear this! We're an Irish & English family so it'd be really special to have a name from each that work together.
