Hi just wondering what people's thoughts were on two baby names I've got my list down to two I'm having a boy and really like rocco and ralphie not sure which to choose

I love Rocco and its spelling, not keen on Ralph or Ralphie.

Ralphie is so sweet, but I really do think Ralph ought to be his legal name. You can call him Ralphie as a nickname

its a lovely name but I adore Ralph-Ralphie is really sweet when he’s tiny

Ralph is lovely but be aware it's slang for vomiting in some parts of the world. Raife or Ranulph could be nn Ralphie without the slang connection

I just personally don’t think Rocco is a name for a person so imo Ralphie is much better but I’d be inclined to put Ralph on the bc and nn him Ralphie?

Rocco is a saint’s name. The saint himself was born around 1340 AD so it’s been a name for some time now! So it is a well established name for a human although I know what you mean that it does have a pet-like vibe to it. It feels trendy and modern although it really isn’t.

As Ralph is pronounced "Rafe", I don't know Ralphie would be said.
