I am praying as this is my top name for DS1 but had negative comments so far

My friend has a boy called Francis, known as Frankie. It really suits him.

I have a Francis! So obviously I love it. He can have any nickname he wants (Frank/Frankie/Fran) but to his mother he’ll always be Francis ❤

Francis seems to be on something of an upward trajectory, though it's always been moderately popular in England and Wales. I like Francis, but no name is universally popular so I'd stop discussing names with people. If you tell someone the name after the baby is born, you are are fearless likely to get unwanted opinions.

Francis is such a lovely name. An absolute classic. I love the association with St Francis of Assisi as well.

Francis was my late brothers middle name, I actually quite like it & it's much better than my own middle name
