I love Amelia, both the name and my dd4 who is called Amelia.

MumtoCharlotteMay · 24/01/2008 18:22

Very pretty

Indith · 24/01/2008 18:25

Oh no, see I used to love the name but then I met one of the Guides........

She is ace in her own little way but I'm not sure I could ever advise anyone to name a baby Amelia, I'd just think of her!

Very pretty if I just block all thoughts of the Guide though

Oh and she does make good crumble so that is a plus point

cluckyagain · 24/01/2008 18:26

Yes - me too but dh doesn't like it!

Alishanty · 25/01/2008 13:33

Lovely name. My 13 year old sister is called Amelia, it wasn't very common when she was born. She shortens it to Milli x

Mercy · 25/01/2008 13:35

I nearly called my dd that.

MaureenMLove · 25/01/2008 13:36

One of my mindees is called Amelia, shortened to Millie. I love it. I was going to call my next born Millie too. (I'm not thinking about being pg either!)

MamaGenius · 25/01/2008 14:25

What about boys? Hmmm they are more difficult IMO

What shall I call my imaginary baby boy?!

tiredemma · 25/01/2008 14:26

Thats the name I want for any female addition to my family- BUT I have no intentions of ever pro-creating again, I really love the name though.

My imaginary boy would be a Benedict - and yes, Amelia is lovely - it's dd3's middle name

MamaGenius · 25/01/2008 14:33

I think possibly Harry for a boy. I love Ben too, but a boy in our small village is called Ben and his little bro has the same name as my DS, so it would b3e a bit odd of me to call mine Ben

Harry it is!

Watch for the birth announcement in 9 months time - MamaG has twins - Amelia and Harry

harpsichordcarrier · 25/01/2008 14:35

I always want to say Amelia Bedelia

tiredemma · 25/01/2008 14:37

I have a Harry aswell! We must have similar tastes! ( do you also lust after Johnny Depp?)

MamaGenius · 25/01/2008 14:38

doesn't everybody?!
