Discussing names with a friend. Since I was a girl I've loved the name Vaeda, I first heard it when Anna Chlumsky played Vaeda in My Girl and I absolutely longed to be as gorgeous and cool as she was.
I already have a daughter and hope to have another child one day, however, I don't think I could use Vaeda as I imagine lots of 'Darth' jokes.
Thoughts??

I have only seen the spelling Vada before. Vaeda looks peculiar to me.

If you live in a place where people have rhotic accents e.g. Ireland or Scotland, I think you could escape the Darth Vader jokes. Otherwise, I would avoid it because Vaeda and Vader would sound the same.
