Rory or Rafferty

Hello!
I think we’ve narrowed our baby names down to Rory or Rafferty (Raff for short). He’ll be little brother to Charlie.
What are your thoughts?

Rafferty is a bit noughties try hard

I love Rafferty. Sounds very middle/upper class but still, I like it. Though I prefer Rafael...Rafe for short.

I love both of these names! We've just had a baby girl but our boy name was Rory - I feel so sad we may never get to use it! Rafferty is cool too but my DH wouldn't entertain it.

I know several people who struggle with their R.... Wowy doesn't sound so nice!

Rory by far. Fabulous name.

Rafferty's just another Irish surname appropriated as a first name, which isn't a trend I like.

Don't like Rafferty at all - not sure why. Ralph with nn Rafe or Raff is OK though.

Rory yes, Rafferty is really awful (sorry).

Rafferty seemed to start becoming a thing when Jude Law and Sadie Frost gave that name to their son 20 odd years ago. I'm not sure why people think it sounds upper class.

Rory is a good solid name with a long history. And seems less sleb inspired.

Raff for Raphael is nice though.

Not a fan or Rory- I love Rafferty though! Also love Rafe if you wanted more options.

Rafferty is like O’Malley, a big ginger Tom cat name.

Raff is awful - Riff Raff
