August and Otis

Similar to my previous thread. What do people think of August and Otis for siblings/twins? To similar sounding perhaps?

I like August. Otis makes me think of lifts.

I really like Otis but my husband had the same association with the lifts so it is off our list…🙁

Really like Otis. Not so keen on August but I don’t think they sound similar.

I absolutely adore both names, and think they work really well together

August is fab but Otis is a different vibe. Would it be Oat-iss or Oh-teece?

Yes. Thats how I would say it, just how I would say the month. I can’t imagine in which accents it would be Ooh-gust or Oww-goost unless the name is supposed to be pronounced different to the month.

Dislike both. August has the August/Au-gust issue and Otis sounds wet.
Schindler and Otis?

August like the month. Otis as oat-iss. I'm surprised at the pronunciation issues for both, not something I'd considered.

I think they are really cute names together :)

I'd say August as Au-GUST not AU-gust, and I think lots of people would.
Angus and Austin are better
