What do you think to these girl names?

We have narrowed it down to three names...

Esme
Clara
Rosanna

Me and DH both have our favourites, but his favourite is my least favourite and vice versa, typical!

What are your thoughts/opinions?

Clara and Rosanna were both at the top of my list. I still love them now.

Rosanna would be my current favourite of the three and Esme the least.

My friends little girl is Esmay

i write the card to Esmé, as I was told her name over the phone. Got told off 'she's not French'. 🙄🙄

use Esme, if you like it, but be prepared for it to be written many ways!!

Clara is much easier!!

They’re all really nice. I like Clara then Rosanna best then Esme, just because where I live I’ve heard it said Ezmee which I really don’t like. Plus I’ve seen it spelled lots of different ways recently.

Esme - no because the May sound is in lots of names
Clara - don't like it
Rosanna - ok but Susanna is nicer

Esme won't be pronounced or spelt correctly by everyone.

I dont really like the other two either. They're all a bit dated for me.

Esme was on our list 3 years ago but I don’t like it anymore I think it’s really common.

Rosanna and Clara are nice

Esme - it has a pretty sound but it seemed like every other baby was called Esme around 5-8 years ago

Clara - very pretty. I like it as it makes me think of the nutcracker. It's mentioned alot on here though so I wonder if it's going to shoot up in popularity a bit like Margot has

Rosanna - this is my favourite of your choices. It's a beautiful name, well known but unusual and several NN options

Rosanna - really lovely and underused, good variety of nicknames but also usable as a full name

Clara - nice, pretty popular, mildly twee

Esme - I’d dump this, done to death and 2 pronunciations so you’ll forever be correcting

Rosanna and Clara are lovely, don't like Esme.

Rosanna is one of my favourite names ever. It's a real timeless classic and gives the options of Rose, Rosa, Rosie and Anna as nicknames.

Clara is also a favourite of mine but its rising popularity would put me off a little bit.

Esme is okay, it's just a bit bland and blends into all the other short, vowel-heavy names that are popular at the moment.

Clara has always been one of my favourite names! Rosanna I like too. Esme least of the three

Really don't like Esme - very common name where I live, there's 3 little esmes in my street and quite a few in school too - spelt the same but pronounced differently - Ezmay? Esmee? She would spend her life correcting the pronunciation!

esme is my least favourite because of the pronunciation thing. The two I know are Ez-mee
