Callie??

So I just came across the name Callie - I don't think I've ever heard it before but really like it.

Does it sound completely made up? Or is it a proper name?

Could Callie be short for anything?

Thoughts?

I know a few girls called Callie and also a few dogs 😂. It's not made up but not massively popular. It's nice enough.

I would say name your DD whatever you want but the best thing to do is not tell anybody Your name choices until after the name has been given. It’s far harder for people to give criticisms when the name is already attached to a baby, rather than just a possible name choice.

I like it. Sounds short for something like Caroline?

I know a late teens aged Kallie. In her case it's not short for anything. I like it as a name with a C or K.

The Callie I know is short for Calliope.

But to be honest I like it better just as Callie.

My husband loves it. Can be short for Calliope, Calista or Calypso.

Tbh it does make me think of Grange Hill (I'm very old) but I still like it so 👍👍

I like it. I think I'd use it an everyday name but put Calista on the b.c.

Calista's that American actress going out with Harrison Ford? Not keen on it, sounds a bit like a model of car. Prefer Callie or Carrie

Just reminds me of Calais which isn't a pleasant place to be reminded of.

I know 3, all are just Callie but spelling variations, cally, Callie nd kallie

I have a friend called Catherine that is called Cally my close friends & family
