Not my style but if you like it you should use it. There are a lot of names of that ilk that I don't like on paper but when you meet a baby with one of those names, it doesn't matter at all because their name is their name and I associate it with them as a lovely little person rather than any negative connotations I have in theory.

Neither name is my style, though I quite like the simplicity of Raine.

So is the name Layla (very nice) and Raine and 2nd name only to be seen on a birth cert.

Prefer Leila as the spelling. Not with Raine, too chavvy

Both names are very modern, which might be why is getting such negative responses.
If I were you, I will drop Raine and pick another middle. There's probably bunch of another Layla Rains with all the spellings possible as both names are often mention together on people's lists.

I get why people love it, but it sounds so downmarket and chavvy, both names together.
