35wks need a name

I have previously posted on here but have somehow been logged out of my account and I can't remember my details.

I’m 35 weeks, and still don’t have a name, this is my first. My partner has two boys, Greyson Taylor Thomas and Noah Rhys Gabriel. DP wants 3 names to match his boys, I think 3 names is too many, but he is adamant.

Last name is 2 syllables and starts with K.

He likes-
•Sienna May Belle
•Summer Leigh Octavia
•Lily Anna Belle

I like-
•Nova Leigh
•Noelle
•Savannah
•Lydia
•Maya
•Reagan
•Rosalie
•Florence
•Harper
•Violet
•Mollie
•Isla Mae

I know that Nova and Noelle are too close to Noah but I'm leaving those on there so you get an idea on the names I like. None of them feel quite right and he doesn't like them. So any suggestions would be great.

I'd also like to add that my DP has said that he wants a very feminine name and it to be traditional spelling. I'm not overly bothered about this.

Summer Lucy Imogen
Anna Julia Grace
Naomi Cora Jasmine
Louisa Rosemary Faye
Eleanor Daisy Frances

3 names is fine imo - loads of people have them, just chose shorter ones if you are worried it sounds too fussy or about it fitting on forms.

If you like Lydia and he likes Lily, then how about the lovely Lilia? Or perhaps one of the other shortish "L" names fairly popular at the moment - Lara, Lyra, Leah? Or Romilly instead of Rosalie or Lily?

Then maybe look at your family tree/relatives you'd like to honour for middle names - and the benefit of 2 middle names is you can choose one each or one from each side of the family.

I really like Lilia, I've never heard it before. I will definitely add that to the list and ask DP when he wakes up. The only family names that we like and have meaning are-
Josephine (DP grandma)
April (DP mum)
Addison (my nana)
Amelia (my mum)
But they're all quite long and don't go together the best, we're really struggling we had a boys name from around 10 weeks but since we've found out we're having a girl we've struggled a lot. I don't mind her having 3 middle names but I am worried it'll be a mouthful and far too long.

I did suggest my maiden name as a middle name, so it wouldn't seem as bad. But with it being Taylor, and that being one of DPs eldest sons middle names he didn't like the idea.

I feel really stuck, he seems to shoot down every name I'm suggesting 😬

Summer Lucy Imogen
Anna Julia Grace
Naomi Cora Jasmine
Louisa Rosemary Faye
Eleanor Daisy Frances

Really love Imogen Grace and Eleanor but we have a niece called Imogen Grace ☹️and DP thinks Eleanor would be shortened to Ellie which he doesn't like.

India Ruby Grace
Madeleine
Isabelle Freya
Phoebe Sienna Mae

Rosa Leonie
Hazel Joanna

I see he likes May Belle and Lily Anna - like Mabel and Liliana?

I like Lydia from your list. It's also short, and might flow better than other names
Lydia Beatrice Jane
Lydia Violet Esther
Lydia Louise Mary
Rosalie Lydia Gwen

other suggestions of short, sweet names:
Sophie, Juliet, Nancy, Rosina, Paige, Giselle(or Gisele, both are correct), Flora, Freya, Felicity (maybe kind of long, but I find it compact short 4 syllable), Emmeline, Celia, Carys, Charlotte, Cecily, Bridget, Alice, Amy

Clairewentoverthemountain · 30/07/2022 08:56

I dont think you can use thr middle names 'May/Mae' and 'Belle' because they make the name a little bit... Twee? Common? I'm not sure, but they cheapen nice names because they're so overdone. 'May Belle' together is also way too much. Leigh also isn't very nice, has a chavvy vibe to it.

It seems a shame to use overused 'filler' middle names like May, Belle and Leigh when you have such nice names on your list! Why not build a name from the names on your list?

Octavia is gorgeous! Noelle, Lydia, Rosalie, Florence, and Violet are all also really classy and pretty.

From your names, how about:

Rosalie Florence Noelle Surname
Octavia Florence Noelle Surname
Florence Lydia Violet Surname
Violet Lydia Noelle Surname

How about Juno instead of Nova? Similar vibe but doesn't sound too much like Noah. Or Aurelia, which I think has a similar vibe to Noelle.

If you want a one-syllable middle name I'd choose something less common like Joy, Hope, Faith, Kate, Liv?

Clairewentoverthemountain · 30/07/2022 08:56

June?

Clairewentoverthemountain · 30/07/2022 08:59

Josephine (DP grandma)
April (DP mum)
Addison (my nana)
Amelia (my mum)

Josephine is a lovely name and has so many great nicknames - Josie, Effie, Posey, Sephy. April is so pretty, light and fresh. You could use Adeline or Adelaide instead of Addison?

ilovemyboys3 · 30/07/2022 09:07

I don't think there's anything wrong with two middle names especially if they have a family meaning behind them.

Beautifulsunflowers · 30/07/2022 11:23

If I were to name a daughter today with 3 names I’d call her
Harriet Caroline Faye
or
Beatrice Nancy Kate
or
Joanna Lucy Faye

Longer name as first name with nn possibilities.

try and decide on a first name you agree on then both chose a middle name each.

kirby2000 · 30/07/2022 12:18

I really like Nova Leigh and Isla Mae as a names, not that I'm just trying to use a filler middle name. I've spoken to DP and he also likes Lilia, he said he prefers Lillian, I love Matilda he likes it. I really like Aurelia. I also love Harriet, DP likes them but said he wouldn't use them, I have so many names that I'd use in a heart beat but DP won't here is the list of names that we both like-
First names-
Lilia/Lillian
Sienna
I like Rosalie, he likes Rosalia
Matilda

Middle names-
Ophelia ( DP great grandmas name) might be a bit popular at the moment.
Octavia
Violet
Florence.

All the names we like are all long so I'm still thinking 2 names unless we find shorter ones

DPs top pick is-
Sienna Lillian Octavia

My top pick is-
Matilda Florence Confused

I'm finding it so hard to even agree on a first name because I think that'd make it easier to decide on other names.

I really like Aurora! I do think his suggestion is a bit long I'd go with either of the middle names with a different shorter one I.e
Aurora Lillian Mae
Aurora Joy Octavia
Aurora Lillian Eva
