Which do you think? Is Chelsea too 80s/90s?

Grin I haven't seen an overreaction to a name like this in a while. I imagine there was a Chelsea at these pp's school that called them fat one time or something like that.
DramaAlpaca · 03/08/2022 22:52

Adeline, for definite.

I think it's a name of its time, like Carol or Jessica. It's fine on a 30-something but just isn't right for a 2022 baby. Don't feel too bad!

@CLC22 snap 😭😂

Chelsea (or worse Chelsey or other derivatives) feels dated like Courtney, Jade, Jordan or Brittany

Adeline is pretty but I prefer Adela which means noble or serene. Adela of Blois was an early Queen of England so it has royal connections

Skelligsfeathers · 04/08/2022 11:05

Adeline sounds like a body part that you would have removed because it made you very nasal.

He had to have his adelines removed.
Chelsea was never a good name. Ever.

ChristmasJumpers · 04/08/2022 11:34

Adeline is lovely. I'm a 90s kid and non of the Chelsea's I knew were very nice.

Adelaide even better. I don't think people will struggle with the pronunciation of Adeline, seems straight forward to me. I'd pronounce it ad-ah-line

Primatrying · 04/08/2022 12:08

I love Adelaide. I like Adeline but the multiple pronounciations would annoy me. I say Ad-el-lynn fwiw.

Unfortunately I hate Addie and would fear it being shortened to that. Therefore I'd choose Chelsea.

TrashPandas · 04/08/2022 14:29

Chelsea was never a good name. Ever. Any need for that when there are two Chelseas on the thread?

There was a Chelsea in my primary class and she was nice. Very sporty.

Amelia891 · 05/08/2022 17:36

Adeline is lovely, and Addy is a nice nickname. Really don’t like Chelsea.
