Sibling for Phoebe

MumJourney · 28/07/2022 20:13

We have a Phoebe Francesca and need a name for her little sister. Votes please.

Shortlisted first names are:
Alexandra
Amelia
Zara

Shortlisted middle names are:
Alessia
Elodie
Eloise
Jasmine
Or one of the 2 unused first names.

Thoughts please on which first name paired with which middle?

Thanks

I like Zara Eloise or Alexandra Jasmine

Zara Jasmine

I like all your first names but they have quite different vibes IYSWIM. Phoebe and Alexandra sound very middle class and probably at private school. Whereas Phoebe and Zara are a bit more edgy IMO as Zara is less traditional although I guess it is still a “royal” name in some senses. Amelia I find a bit vanilla and too popular.

I like Zara Eloise or Zara Elodie personally. Or Zara Amelia.

Phoebe and
Zara Jasmine

Ellmau · 28/07/2022 20:54

Alexandra Jasmine, I think.

Or Phoebe Alexandra.

Ellmau · 28/07/2022 20:55

Oops, read too quickly and you actually already have a Phoebe.

FlissyPaps · 28/07/2022 21:28

Amelia Jasmine

Alexandra seems too long to have a middle name. & None of the middle names sound right with Zara

Mumofgirls2017 · 28/07/2022 21:28

Zara Jasmine. I think the other middles, although prefer as names, are a bit awkward following an ‘a’ ending

Luxa · 28/07/2022 21:57

I like Zara Jasmine best too.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 28/07/2022 22:04

Alexandra Jasmine has it for me.

ClocksGoingBackwards · 28/07/2022 22:06

Zara Jasmine

Zara

Alexandra Eloise

Also quite like Alexandra Amelia

Sacha can be a nice nn for Alexandra

Amelia done to death as a first name, and while Zara is nice enough it’s no where near as distinguished as your other daughter’s names or most of your other choices.

I love Zara and Alexandra. Not keen on Amelia.

My order of preference would be:
Zara Eloise
Zara Alessia
Alexandra Eloise
Zara Jasmine
Alexandra Jasmine

FayCarew · 29/07/2022 08:11

Amelia - don't like at all
Alessia - not keen
Elodie - dull as ditchwater
Eloise - a bit of a mouthful

Zara Alexandra
Zara Jasmine
Alexandra Jasmine
Jasmine Zara

Phoebe and Jasmine sound like sisters, as do Phoebe and Zara

madeleinedupont · 29/07/2022 14:17

Love Alexandra Elodie!

I like both Alexandra and Zara. Both are old names. I don’t see how Zara is edgy as pp said. I think Alexandra goes much better with Phoebe. I like Alessia as a name, but it’s a short form of Alexandra, so they can’t go together. Elodie and Eloise are a bit…uninspiring and insipid. I like Jasmine -it has more energy about it.
