First name to go with middle name Matilda

As per title; middle name will be Matilda if baby is a girl.

Surname is 1 syllable and rhymes with White.

Dd is Annie and Matilda was my favourite name if new baby was a girl (it’s a boy), so that gets my vote!

And Annie Matilda is nice too

Serious suggestion:
A first name that goes with the surname.

Then consider the flow of the full name.

With my accent I don't say Wite/Wight for White/Whyte.

I think people often don't consider that most people are not called by their full names.

I have friends and acquaintances with names like Matthew and Emma-Jane but most are always Matt and Emma even if their parents insist on the full version.

Maybe Isla's mother had a sense of humour or had come on here and had been told to add a middle name. would that middle name be May or Rose

@DuchessOfSausage that’s a good point; I’m not keen on Ann. Maybe need to cross Annie off the list as @FlissyPaps has now made me think the 2 names together is a bit cringe 😂 thanks for pointing that out as it hadn’t even occurred to me!

Really like Polly, Nellie, Sophia & Amelia and love Harriet but that’s DD middle name.

Annie is nice. It doesn't matter about the two musicals - at least your surname isn't Oliver.

Harriette is horrendous, whereas Harriet is lovely.

Josie (long form Josephine)

Josie Matilda White is lovely. I can see her as a child or an adult.
