What name do you like the best from below? We want a name along the lines of Rose after a very strong lady we know x

Penelope Rose
Emilia Primrose
Juliette Rose
Imogen Rose
Eloise Primrose
Isobel Primrose (not sure what spelling variation)

Juliette Rose is my favourite.
Eloise Primrose second.
Penelope Rose and Imogen Rose joint third.

I used to love Isobel but feel it's been overdone at this point. Same for Emilia.

Mumofgirls2017 · 27/07/2022 17:09

Penelope, Eloise or Juliet (prefer that spelling)

KirstenBlest · 27/07/2022 17:44

Rose is very popular as a middle name and I'm not keen on Primrose. Middle names hardly ever get used, unless the first name is very popular
Juliet is so much nicer than Juliette

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 27/07/2022 17:50

Juliet Primrose should be an option, that's lovely.

As a pp mentioned, Rose as a middle name is SO overdone now. Primrose changes it up a bit.

KirstenBlest · 27/07/2022 17:50

Eloise will be Ellie. Penelope will be Penny. Imogen will be Immy, Isobel will be Izzy/Issy and Juliette will be Jules/Julie.

I'd go with Rose Middlename or use a different form of Rose as a middle name. Rosalind is very pretty.

MajorCarolDanvers · 27/07/2022 17:52

Juliette Rose

ariesalien · 27/07/2022 19:15

Penelope Rose or Juliet Primrose.
Or Isobel Primrose - and this is my preferred spelling of Isobel!

Huntswomanonthemove · 27/07/2022 19:18

Isobel first, then Juliet

DramaAlpaca · 27/07/2022 22:55

Any of those first names are beautiful followed by Rose, apart from Eloise which doesn't flow.

I agree with others that Juliet is nicer, but OP might want the Juliette pronunciation with the stress on the last syllable.

I'm sorry, I just don't like Primrose. That 'prim' bit bothers me, and it doesn't sound strong like Rose does.

mrsfoof · 27/07/2022 23:00

Imogen Rose is beautiful

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 27/07/2022 23:01

Emilia Rose

Fivebeanchilli · 27/07/2022 23:05

Penelope Rose - I'm not a Penelope fan at all
Emilia Primrose - gorgeous
Juliette Rose - I really like Juliet but not so keen on the ette ending. I would go for Juliet Primrose
Imogen Rose - Imogen is lovely. Rose is dull but it has meaning for you but it would still put me off. I think you could use Imogen Primrose desire the repeated im sounds
Eloise Primrose - don't like
Isobel Primrose (not sure what spelling variation - too common

Emilia, Juliet and Imogen are beautiful.

Crunchymum · 28/07/2022 20:29

Why not just use Rose? It's a beautiful, elegant and classic name.

Luredbyapomegranate · 28/07/2022 23:56

Juliet Rose
I don’t think there’s any point spelling it Juliette, no one is going to say it with a French intonation

or otherwise Imogen Rose

Penelope is nice but she’ll end up Penny, Emilia and Isobel (all variations) done to death, and Eloise will end up one of a zillion Ellies

I think Primrose might just be the world’s most insipid name, so if you want to honour a strong woman called Rose, I’d stick to that - or Rosanna, Rosamund and Rosemary are all nice variations and less common middle names

KirstenBlest · 29/07/2022 08:30

@Luredbyapomegranate , I know a Juliette and everyone says it as Julie Ette. She gets called Julie a lot.

Cloud16 · 29/07/2022 16:08

I like Penelope or Imogen.

Penny is a sweet nn, so is Immy imo.
