I know they are all part of the surname as first name trend but that appears to be my style.

Carson
Spencer
Franklin

DP favourites are Seb (Sebastian) or Theodore (Teddy)

I would say Spencer is the closest to a mid-point between your husband's and your styles. Surnamey, but relatively classic.

Franklin would be in second place for me. Can be Frank or Frankie too.

I don't like Carson, personally.

salharg · 27/07/2022 13:22

@SycamoreTall
Franklin was thrown in by DP as Frank is a family name for him, personally much prefer just the classic Frank but he is unsure at the moment.
I love Spencer

Franklin. Not keen on the others.

tinkertailor2 · 27/07/2022 13:29

I'm sorry but I think I prefer your DP's names

startfresh · 27/07/2022 14:03

Theodore/Spencer
Carson
Franklin/Seb

Just don't call him Frank Spencer!

How about

Hunter
Harrison

Your names are much nicer and more memorable - especially Carson and Spencer.

Teddy and Seb sound weak, twee and will date imo.

babyjellyfish · 27/07/2022 16:18

I much prefer your husband's names, tbh.

Toosadtocomprehend · 27/07/2022 16:21

Seb or Theo

Primatrying · 27/07/2022 16:44

I like Franklin.
I know a million Teddies.

Melstarrynight · 27/07/2022 16:53

I see your names as surnames only.

ariesalien · 27/07/2022 19:16

My favourite out of the bunch is Spencer but I'm not overly keen on it.

I'd prefer Frankie over Franklin.

Mumofgirls2017 · 27/07/2022 22:29

Carson- no
Spencer- yes
Franklin- yes

Sebastian is ok; quite like theodore

DramaAlpaca · 27/07/2022 22:49

I'm sorry, but I agree with Melstarrynight.

I can't even give you a favourite as neither your list nor your DH's are my style.

I don't know if it'll help to whittle your choices down, but the only Carson I've known was a girl.

BrownStripePJ · 27/07/2022 23:05

Franklin is nice

Don't like Teddy or seb

How about Orson

GeriTheBerry · 27/07/2022 23:08

I like your husband’s names. Yours are all surnames.

emmathedilemma · 28/07/2022 10:18

I agree that Teddy will really date and i can't imagine a grown man being called Teddy so it's probably going to get shortened to Ed or changed to Theo over time. Variations on Theo seem to be really popular at the moment, I suspect in a few years time they'll be known as "Theo surname" at school because there'll be several.
Sebastian I can just about live with, i think i'm put off it by one I knew who was very wet and drippy!
Thinking down the surname sort of line......
Harrison
Harris
Stanley
Stuart
Fraser
Cameron
Parker
Brodie
Lewis
Chester
Fletcher
Morgan

pinklavenders · 28/07/2022 13:49

Teddy/Theo are SO overused and will date.

Sebastian is a little frilly and long. And Seb is sebaceous to my ears.

I really like Franklin and Carson. I also like Carsten.

Luredbyapomegranate · 29/07/2022 00:01

Franklin nn Frank is nice and a good compromise

Spencer just says estate agent to me
Carsen that you watch too much cable TV

Sebastian is nice
Theodore way overdone

bruce43mydog · 29/07/2022 00:13

I prefer your DH names Theodore & Sebastian

Then i like Spencer, Franklin and Carson in that order
