Hi

I’m worried we’re not going to have a name for our little girl in 2 months. We have a few ideas (listed below) but would like some more ideas please. My partner is traditional whereas I do like something a little different however I’m thinking a more formal name like the below which can be shortened to a pretty nickname … nothing “too” out there but a something which isn’t very generic/popular!!

I’d steer away from Millie if you don’t want popular, it’s everywhere. Very bland. Usually paired with the obligatory filler names of Grace/Rose/May.

Imogen is also really popular.

Eloise is nice, I love Clara. Not a fan of Primrose.

@PancakesWithCheese It's all relative but I wouldn't describe Imogen as really popular any more, it's been falling in numbers pretty consistently for last 12 years , which is when it peaked. Always a good idea to use a name that's falling down charts if popularity is a concern

Of your list I would probably go with Imogen, it’s popular but not overdone.

Emilia has been done to death, Eloise will become one of many Ellies. I would also maybe look at an alternative middle name as Rose, Grace and May are such overused fillers. Maybe Hope or Jane or one of your other choices eg Imogen Clara

I like Eloise, Imogen and Pippa from your list. Primrose is lovely as a middle name - Rose is so pretty but such a 'standard' middle name and Primrose makes it a bit different. I know you said you're less keen on Pippa but I think Pippa Primorse would be really cute and quirky.
