Ruby.

Don't like NNs for Matilda (i.e. Tilly).

Matilda. Great name as is, and great nicknames (Matty, Tilly, Tilda)

Whereas Ruby as is is a bit 'stripper' and a likely nickname is Rube

Matilda is my pick though ruby is cute.

Ruby is nice. Mathilda is pretty but the nick name Tilly which would probably be inevitable is not particularly pleasant.
