Which way around do people think sounds the nicest? We are settled on these two names and love them both equally. Our surname begins with E.
Thanks :)

Aurelia Willow Exxxxx for me! It flows better imo. Lovely name 😊

pinklavenders · 17/07/2022 17:15

Middle names are never used. Choose the first name you prefer.

blueswans · 17/07/2022 17:25

Aurelia Willow for me :)

Viviennemary · 17/07/2022 17:27

I dont think those two names go together. I don't dislike either name. But together just no. Still up to you in the end

ofwarren · 17/07/2022 17:43

Willow as the first name.

AWobABobBob · 17/07/2022 17:48

Shoot me in the face or face the in me shoot?

Dull, MN generic name.

olympicsrock · 17/07/2022 17:56

Aurelia willow runs better but choose the first name you like best

WhichBitchIsWhich · 17/07/2022 17:57

It's an awful lot of vowel-y ell-y sounds. Aurelia Willow is better but it's all a bit mushy sounding when run together!

NuffSaidSam · 17/07/2022 17:58

I think it's a mouthful together.

I much prefer Willow so I'd use that as a first name.

Lalosalamanca · 17/07/2022 17:59

Aurelia willow

Solosunrise · 17/07/2022 18:02

AW flows best in my humble opinion if you really do like them both the same. Not that I think it matters how they flow. Which one do you most want to be saying on a daily basis? Or hollering when you want her to come in from playing out, etc?
(Do parents still holler, or do you message them now? Showing my age 🤣)

SleepingStandingUp · 17/07/2022 18:03

Love them both, not sure how either is bland lol

Aurelia just had the edge for me so Aurelia Willow E

20viona · 17/07/2022 18:07

Aurelia willow.

Sharrowgirl · 17/07/2022 18:13

They’re both lovely names but I don’t think they go well together, sorry. Too similar in their sounds.

Having said that, pick the one you like the most and goes best with your surname as the first name as the middle name never gets used anyway (which means what I said above doesn’t especially!!).

Cotswoldmama · 17/07/2022 18:28

Willow Aurelia. I think Aurelia is a bit of a mouthful and would get shortened.

Scirocco · 17/07/2022 18:30

Aurelia Willow for me. I think they sound nice together - soft and flowing.

KittenKong · 17/07/2022 18:33

I guess the length of surname might make a difference - but who ever uses their middle names?

both are lovely though

SilkCotton · 17/07/2022 18:33

Shoot me in the face or face the in me shoot?

Dull, MN generic name.

Funny how people have different takes on things, I would call Alice, Emily, or Olivia dull generic MN names. As I said in my OP we love both names so thanks for your really unconstructive /pointless comment 😂 Both names actually have meanings to us so not really generic as far as we are concerned. Willows were my late dad's favourite tree and we had a giant one in our garden where I have happy memories playing/picnicking under, and Aurelia means golden and this pregnancy is a real ray of (golden) sunshine after a few years of secondary infertility.

Thanks to everyone else who replied!

Ds would have been an Aurelia.

NiqueNique · 17/07/2022 18:34

Aurelia Willow for me! I think it’s very pretty.

Luredbyapomegranate · 17/07/2022 19:13

Aurelia Willow

Aurelia is elegant and more of a proper name. Willow is bit faddy though a cute middle name. (Also Willow will be a bugger if she isn’t v willowy).

user1492757084 · 18/07/2022 09:32

Willow Aurelia E sounds beautiful me.
Nick names could be Willa, Golden Willow, Ray, Goldie, Little Wae Of Sunshine

KirstenBlest · 18/07/2022 09:59

Too many vowels and Ls. I don't like Aurelia and it can be Au-ray-lia or Au-reel-ia.
Willow is too modern for me and wouldn't suit someone short and chubby

Whataretheodds · 18/07/2022 10:02

I agree noone will use the middle name so choose the one you want to call her day to day as the first name

sorcerersapprentice · 18/07/2022 11:24

I think both names, but not together. Too much of a mouthful, tongue twister.

Save one name for the next DD🤞
