Amelie - J middle names?

BlueSky57 · 03/07/2022 11:44

Hi all. First baby due in a few weeks & the only first name my husband & I can agree on is Amelie.

Now we are stuck on middle names but have quite a common last name (Evans), so feel a middle name is needed.

We both have middle names beginning with J (mine is Jade & his is Jamie) so thinking a J middle name would be nice.

Amelie Jade is fine but would maybe be last option as I’m not sure if it’s a bit weird to give baby the exact same middle name as me?

Any ideas welcome! Thanks

I was also going to suggest Jean for the J name.
Other middle names which I think go well - maybe traditional English names like Katherine, Rebecca, Charlotte, Mary(?), Harriet

Amelie Juniper Evans is my pick!

Amelie Frances.

Amelie Jemima Evans

Or if not a J name, how about Serena. As Amelie means hardworking then something serene or peaceful would be a nice fit for a middle name.

Others that sound nice:
Amelie Elizabeth
Amelie Sophia
Amelie Matilda
Amelie Louisa
Amelie Violet

I like Jay - it reflects both your middle names without being exactly the same, and a jay is such a beautiful, colourful bird.

Not Jane. Please not Jane. Jane is the 80's middle name. The Rose/Grace/May of the 80's. I actually like all 3 of those names, but it seems to be the only middle names anyone uses today. Everyone I know my age has Jane as their middle name.

DoingJustFine · 06/07/2022 21:31

I had the book Amelia Jane Is Naughty Again. I loved it.

I think a 3-syllable middle babe would glow nicely between Amelia and Evans. Like, Amelia Caroline Evans. It's not a J though.

I'll get my coat.

Whatever you choose, consider the initials very carefully to avoid anything unfortunate!

Nah, Louise is the middle name of the 80’s

@GrinAndVomit I know a Louise Jane and a Jane Louise. Guess which decade they were both born in? You got one or the other!

My middle name is the family middle name for the first born girl. There must be about 5 of us with that name.
