Middle name for Eleanor

I think 1 syllable would go best with our surname which is quite "harsh" / "brash" sounding.

Favourite is Eleanor Rose but I'd like to avoid Rose for personal reasons if there is an alternative that I can find that we like just as much...

Thanks in advance!

Mae/May

To be honest, I am not keen on one-syllable middle names. They make the name a bit bland. Obviously, don’t use May or Mae. If your surname is a bit harsh, I’d be tempted to go for something fancier, but that said, it’s a middle name, so it doesn’t really matter. Eleanor is lovely. Eleanor Rosanna?

can't edit, just wanted to say you can pick Eleanor Lys (Lily in French) or Eleanor Lise which I think is Danish variant of Lisa.

No one ever hears of middle names after baby arrives so just pick something you like.

DontLikeCoffee · 02/07/2022 12:52

Not Rose/Grace/May as every girl has them and they’re hugely overused.

Not Jayne, it's an ugly spelling of a filler middle name

Pick something meaningful to you/ family name and don't worry about the flow. No one ever says their whole name and even if they do no one cares about flow. They do care about meaning,

Middle names NEVER even get used.

Make sure the first and surname sound nice together!
