Thoughts on Tilly?

My partner wants Tilly for our DD (due in August) but I don't like it.
He thinks it's cute but I'm not a fan of cutesy names tbh.
I like strong, meaningful names with substance.
To me, Tilly feels very wish washy, not substantial and not a name I'd expect to find a strong character owning.
Don't like Tilly, Milly, Lilly etc... Similar reasons.
Thoughts?

Awful as a full name, fine as a sweet nn for a little girl

it’s short for Matilda, obvs
