Expecting a girls and we like the name Rosalie (Nn Rosa).

For middle name, what are your thoughts on:

Rosalie Megan
Rosalie Florence ?

I think it needs to be one or two syllables max for the middle name.
We can’t have Grace or May as already have family members with these names.

Beautiful name!

What about a nod to where you two met? Or where she was conceivied?

Or your favourite song? Rosalie Lola?

How lovely.

Poppins2016 · 18/06/2022 23:15

Rosalie Florence was my first thought before I been opened the thread!

I wouldn't overthink middle names too much, to be honest, beyond thinking about what the initials spell out (if anything) and any sentimental meaning. You don't use a middle name very often in life...

IStandWithMaya · 18/06/2022 23:18

Where she was conceived... 😯

BabyBunnyMama · 18/06/2022 23:19

I think 2 syllables sounds too much with a 3 syllable first name so I would stick with a 1 syllable middle name.

Rosalie Rae
Rosalie Fleur
Rosale Skye
Rosalie Elle
Rosalie Dawn

Obviously you may not like the same middle names as I do but just some suggestions 😊

Motherofcats007 · 18/06/2022 23:30

I think it goes better with a shorter middle name
Kate
Paige
Claire
Jo
Thea
Helen
Faye
Wren
Beth

Poppins2016 · 19/06/2022 01:36

I reckon 2 syllables (or more) is OK.
(Mind you, I'm biased... It's quite common in my family to have multi syllable first and second names!)

RevoltingHumanHead · 19/06/2022 01:58

watcherintherye · 19/06/2022 08:34

I also think Rosalie Anne sounds nice, and that a one syllable middle name would go better.

Xmasfairy86 · 19/06/2022 08:38

I was immediately drawn to Rosalie Faith 😊

Rosalie Drew

Sorry, we don’t like any of the one syllable names mentioned.
Can’t go for Anne as her initials would be RAT!

I do like Rosalie Florence, but i's probably worth noting that Rosalie and Florence were both characters in the Magic Roundabout (although Rosalie didn't appear very often) - would that bother you? I don't think it would bother me as they are such lovely names, but be prepared to be asked about it occasionally.

But to be honest the first thing that came into my head was Rosalie Jane. Sweet and simple, and Jane isn't as over-used as a middle name as it was 40 or 50 years ago.

FayCarew · 19/06/2022 13:03

Rosalie Anne sounds like Rosa Leanne, so a no from me

Rosalie Meg is nice

I know you said one or two syllables but what do you think of Caroline? Rosalie Caroline has a lyrical feel and, I think, works well with Thorpe, Taylor or Thistlethwaite (as T name examples).
