It's okay as a nickname for Orlando. I'm not keen as a stand alone name.

I actually quite like it but people will probably wonder if it's short for something. There's an F1 driver called Lando Norris, and his mum is Belgian - is that where it comes from?

I would just go for Lando. Oh I'm not sure where the name comes from, I'll have to look into that. My mother suggested it and I do really like it.

And you want your child's name to be associated with the person who lost the Millennium Falcon (to the coolest guy in the galaxy) in a card game.

I absolutely love it! It was our second choice for our DS. We're huge F1 fans in the house but I wasn't going to name DS after Lando Norris. We just love the name!

I always thought it was slang for a Land Rover.. many of the car dealers I know use it 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don't know Star Wars but my first thought was Star Wars.

It's a bit too Jilly Copper for my liking. Think they're was one in the book about the school. And i tend to like Jilly's characters names

My cat is called Lando as we are big F1 fans. DS also has an F1 name and middle name but they are two of the more ‘normal’ names out of the current line up!
i loved Lando Norris as a name but think he’s a bit of an arrogant young prick, so it was absolutely perfect for our cat.
