Baby #2 - Girls names

Hello!

We need help. Baby girl due September. We are stuck with a few names.

Grace
Erin
Penny
Hallie.

Little sister to Lewis (5). I don't want an obscure name as I've had to deal with one growing up - it's a pain.

We are unsure on middle names, or even if we want any at all. Any thoughts welcome

Erin and Penny are lovely, Erin would be my preference.
Grace seems overused to me and I don’t like Hallie, reminds me of Halitosis, sorry.
I like nature type names in the middle. Maybe Skye, Iris, Violet, Rosa, Hazel, Fern?

I agree Grace seems very popular but like I said having grown up with a very obscure name hence why I like simple easy names - maybe need a middle ground.
Erin has always been my go to girls name.

Erin is beautiful. Hallie is ok. Not keen on Penny. I find Grace very dull.

I love Hallie! Also like Penny. As a teacher I've taught so many Graces and Erins that I find them quite boring now.

Nice names! We have a Charlotte. Other favourite girl names of mine:
Alice (has the same 'vibe' as Grace imo)

Penny as a nn for Penelope? Increasing in popularity?

Hallie and Erin are more unusual.

Most of those names I already have family called them (joys of a big family!) or we have vetoed! And my sister has a cat called Polly 🤣 lovely suggestions though!

I think I’m more torn to Erin or Penny where as my husband is for Grace and Hallie. (Penny would be full name, not nn for Penelope)

Ooh I think Erin is lovely and uncommon. Grace is very common at the moment, and I think Penny and Hallie are lovely as nicknames.

Hallie and Penny I don’t like as full names, as nns for Harriet and Penelope they are fine

Caitlin, Robin, Hope, Amy, Sylvie might also work

I love Hallie then Erin. Depending on your surname initial Hallie Erin is lovely.

I love Hallie or Penny.

Grace is just so overused it’s boring. I hear it everywhere.

I think Erin is a nice, strong girls name. Grace is a classic name that you can’t go wrong with in my opinion. I’m not keen on Hallie at all (don’t like the sound or spelling, feels like it should be Holly or Hattie) and I think Penny is a bit dated (not necessarily a bad name though).

I know you prefer Penny but I love the name Penelope actually; I think it’s because my grandson’s friend has that name and he sounds so cute when he’s talking about her. He also has quite an old fashioned name and when the two are coupled it just makes me laugh as they’re only five years old. I also think Grace is beautiful. Penelope Grace!

In your list I really like Erin.

Regarding the middle name, does your son have one ? If he does I'd have one for your daughter. If not, I wouldn't.
