What are your thoughts?
I have 2 daughter's already Penelope (Penny) and Tahlia do don't have to worry about any themes or anything.

Middle name would be James after my husband.

Wilfred James (very Welsh surname) x

I actually really like it

toastofthetown · 13/06/2022 19:55

It’s quite nice. Wilfred is having a moment right now. I’m sure lots of people will mention Boris Johnson has a Wilfred but I really don’t think that’s an issue. I know someone who’s daughter was born around the time of David Cameron’s youngest and didn’t use the name Florence because of it. Over ten years on and she now feels daft for thinking that way.

I'm not overly keen on Wilfred, I do like Freddie as a potential nn though.

SkalengeckOrSiegbarste · 13/06/2022 20:01

I have a Wilfred. We call him Wilf, but love that when he his older he (or more likely his mates) can decided if he is a Wilf, Will, Fred, Freddie or whatever he likes.

This is exactly our thoughts, love the choice of NN as he gets older x

Your daughters' names are gorgeous. Wilfred seems so drippy in comparison.

pinklavenders · 14/06/2022 08:23

I really dislike Wilfred.

Really ugly sounding imo.

emmathedilemma · 14/06/2022 11:30

We have a Wilfred James in the family so it gets my vote! He mostly goes by Wilf.

Aorh · 14/06/2022 13:26

I love it!

midsomermurderess · 14/06/2022 15:03

I like it (and it’s meaning: he who wants peace) and Wilf.

pinklavenders · 14/06/2022 16:14

Reminds me of Boris Johnson

Olga03 · 14/06/2022 16:44

I really like it. And I don't think it's unusual enough to be always connected to BJ's child like other names (e.g. Apple, North) plus great nickname options.

Loulou1712 · 14/06/2022 18:49

Thanks all 🥰
If dd2 would have been a girl she'd have been Wilfred so we've liked the name for a while. I think I'm just in shock that this is actually a boy and don't want to commit despite hubby calling him Wilfred since we found out 😂

Like it, really like Wilf as a NN

GreatCuppa · 15/06/2022 12:18

Love it. Wilf is so cute and works when he’s older too.
